HELENA, Mont. — University of Montana wide receiver Mark Mariani and Weber State quarterback Cameron Higgins have been named the co-offensive Big Sky Conference players of the week.

Sacramento State defensive tackle Christian Clark earned the defensive honor, while Montana State returner Demetrius Crawford won the special teams award.

Mariani, a junior from Havre, caught eight passes for 208 yards and four touchdowns in the fifth-ranked Grizzlies' 46-10 win over Southern Utah.

Higgins, a sophomore from Kai, Hawaii, completed 18 of 23 passes, including a career-high five touchdown passes, as Weber State defeated Dixie State 44-7.

Clark, a sophomore from Los Angeles, recorded six total tackles, 2.5 for loss and two sacks in Sacramento State's 27-16 win over Southern Oregon. He also forced fumble and blocked an extra point.

Crawford, a senior from Fairfield, Calif., returned a kick 100 yards for a touchdown in Montana State's 35-23 loss to Minnesota of the Big Ten Conference.
