Carly Anderson's letter (Readers' Forum, Sept. 13) characterizing Sarah Palin's speech as a sad representation couldn't be further from the truth. I found her to be straightforward, honest and impassioned about change. The tone was that of taking the Republican and Democratic parties to task on the issues of change. Finally, a politician who speaks from the heart.
Barack Obama's notion of America coming together is the same worn-out theme presented by every Democratic presidential candidate every four years. Did the Clintons bring the country together? No, they divided it further. Have Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid brought about even one change, reform or energy solution they promised two years ago? No. As for Palin being an unknown, experience is evident in expressions from the heart.
