While waiting at the Springville Burger King restaurant, I saw an interesting display of pictures there. The local franchise owner was honoring the 12 winners of their scholarship contest. All 12 were female. I know this is something of an aberration, but the Deseret News Sterling Scholars seem to be year after year about two females for one male.

Most American colleges graduate more females than males now. What forces favor female academic achievement over that of males? Is it cultural, biological, lack of good male mentors in their lives?

Perhaps males need an affirmative action program to redress this problem.
