Game of

the week

Cowboys at Browns

Tune in to Fox at 2:15 p.m. to see what's expected to be a shootout between the two champions of the offseason. This is the first of several national TV appearances by both teams.

Team on the rise

Dolphins

It isn't saying much, but expect the Dolphins to be better than last year. Miami, which went 1-15 last season, is younger on defense. New quarterback Chad Pennington isn't going to wow anyone with his arm strength or statistics. But he does provide a steady presence for the rebuilding Dolphins. He'll also be a little motivated when he faces his former team today.

Team on the decline

Steelers

What happened to the smash-mouth Steelers?

Pittsburgh resembled a finesse team down the stretch of the 2007 season, and gave up 31 points to warm-weather Jacksonville at home in the playoffs. The Steelers didn't do much in free agency, other than lose guard Alan Faneca. It seems as if the team's transition from running team to passing team will continue.
