PROVO Dean K. Richard Young of Brigham Young University's David O. McKay School of Education appointed Nancy Wentworth the new associate dean over teacher education.
Wentworth, a professor of teacher education, replaces Marie Tuttle who has served in the position for more than nine years. Tuttle will return to teaching and supervision in the Department of Teacher Education.
Wentworth earned a bachelor's degree in mathematics, a master's degree in education and a doctorate in educational studies at the University of Utah. She spent nearly 10 years in public schools before she began teaching at BYU in 1992 as an assistant professor. She is now a full professor and has been the associate chairwoman in the teacher education department.
