A 20-year-old man has been charged in connection with a shooting at a Salt Lake City home earlier this year.
On May 17, a group of men came to a house, near 2200 South and 700 East, and began fighting with a person inside, according to charges filed Thursday in 3rd District Court.
When someone tried to break up the fight, a gun discharged and a bullet struck a bystander in the right buttock, court documents state.
Witnesses later identified the people involved in the fight through tattoos and a photo lineup, according to the charges.
The man has been charged with second-degree felony discharge of a firearm with injury.
