PLEASANT GROVE — The city will hold its annual Heritage Festival at Downtown Park (200 S. Center St.) on Saturday.

The festival will have a Danish theme to help remember the large group of early settlers in the community.

The day will begin with a flag-raising at 8 a.m., where both U.S. colors and Danish colors will be presented. Then the Lions Club will put on a breakfast in the park with a cost of $4 per adult and $3 per child. At 9 a.m. there will be a Danish children's parade in the park.

From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. there will be public safety activities in the old recreation center, as well as a day full of pioneer games and activities in the park. From 5 to 7 p.m. there will be the Kiwanis Hog Heaven Barbecue Cook-off dinner at the park, with a cost of $8. The bluegrass band BrushFire will take the stage at 5:30 p.m.
