Utah gas prices have dropped 26 cents over the past month, giving drivers a little relief at the pump, AAA of Utah says.
The average price of regular, self-serve gas is now $3.84 per gallon. Utah prices peaked on July 18 at $4.22 per gallon, according to data compiled by AAA.
Nationally the average price for regular, self-serve gas is $3.65 per gallon. That's 83 cents higher than the national average a year ago.
Alaska has the highest gas prices in the country, averaging $4.41 per gallon. New Jersey has the lowest prices at an average of $3.43 per gallon.
Utah, California, Idaho and Montana continue to have the highest prices in the lower 48 states.
