The disparity between the mega-wealthy and the disappearing middle class is growing. There are more millionaires today than the entire population of New York City. The number of billionaires is equally staggering, with 694 of them in the United States (up 20 percent from last year).

This boom is accompanied by record-breaking home foreclosures and bankruptcies while many are having trouble buying gas to drive themselves to job interviews. This situation is unacceptable.
