FORT SMITH, Ark. (AP) — A teenager in Arkansas has been charged with posting threats on a MySpace page even though he wasn't planning an attack.

Police said Tuesday they obtained the 17-year-old's name after getting a search warrant for the account on the social networking site. After talking with the boy and his parents, police concluded the boy intended no actual harm and the posting was a failed joke.

The threat of violence mentioned an unnamed school and it wasn't clear if the boy was a student there. His name and other details were not being disclosed because the case is being handled in juvenile court.
