MEN'S GOLF: The T-birds shot 294-294 over their first two rounds at Air Force's Gene Miranda Invitational but slipped to 300 in Sunday's final round to slip from sixth to 10th place. Senior Nate Page led the way for SUU in 29th place.

FOOTBALL: Return specialist Nick Miller has earned this week's Great West Conference special teams player of the week honors after his performance in the Thunderbirds' 38-10 win over Adams State.

Miller, a senior wide receiver from Scottsdale, Ariz., totalled 174 all-purpose yards and scored a touchdown against the Grizzlies, all on returns. He returned six punts a total of 117 yards, including a 57-yarder for a touchdown, and also returned three kickoffs a total of 57 yards.

Miller is SUU's second special teams player of the week in as many weeks this season, after teammate Trevor Ward earned the distinction last week for averaging over 53 yards per punt, including a school-record 91-yard effort. Ward also earned national player of the week recognition.
