BEAVER (AP) — By now, a posh mountaintop resort was supposed to be bustling with activity.

But so far, the Mount Holly Club in the Tushar Mountains is more of an idea than a reality.

The project 18 miles east of Beaver was supposed to include a Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course, multimillion-dollar homes and a world-class ski resort.

Backers say they remain committed to the project. Company spokesman Bill Quick says that because of the national economic downturn, developers are trying to raise capital internally and through partnerships with club members. He says there remain "multiple investors" in the project.

The project is expected to move ahead in the spring.
