OGDEN — A veterans organization is offering two free seminars about post-traumatic stress disorder.

Sponsored by the Ogden Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1481, veterans, active military and civilians are invited to the meetings Sept. 16 and Sept. 25 from 7 to 9 p.m., at 907 W. 12th St.

PTSD is an anxiety disorder that some people develop after being exposed to an event that caused or threatened serious harm or death, and is not exclusive to members of the military. PTSD affects about 5.2 million adults annually. A first step in dealing with PTSD is to learn more about it, which is why the VFW is holding the seminars.
