LEHI — The Utah County attorney has cleared the three officers who fatally shot a woman after she opened fire on police during a traffic stop in June.

Lehi Police Capt. Harold Terry and officers Greg Neer and Scott McDonald "were legally justified in their use of deadly force," the Utah County Attorney's Office said in a statement Wednesday.

On June 23, the three men shot and killed Kelly Wark, 34, of Washington, after Wark shot at police during a traffic stop, striking Terry in the left side of the head, just above the ear.

Terry spent three weeks in the hospital before being released. Neer and McDonald were cleared to return to duty in July, following a review by a multi-jurisdictional agency of county officers.
