University of Utah head football coach Kyle Whittingham will speak at a young adult fireside Tuesday at the Salt Lake University Institute of Religion.
The event will be held from 8 to 9 p.m. in the southwest chapel of the institute building, located at 1780 E. South Campus Drive adjacent to the University of Utah campus.
Whittingham is in his fourth season as head coach at Utah. He has led the Utes to three straight bowl victories and, most recently, a 25-23 road win against Michigan in Ann Arbor, Mich.
Whittingham will be joined by assistant coach Morgan Scalley, who is in his first year as a full-time member of the staff after working as a graduate assistant from 2006-07. Scalley was also a captain on the 2004 Fiesta Bowl team. A returned missionary, he graduated from Highland High School in Salt Lake City.
Whittingham and Scalley are speaking as part of the institute-sponsored "last-lecture series."
The Utes will face UNLV at Rice-Eccles Stadium on Saturday. Kickoff is 6 p.m.
