BOISE (AP) — The body of a man has been recovered from the North Fork of the Payette River about three miles north of Banks.

Crews recovered the body Friday after it was found by a kayaker.

Dale Rogers of the Boise County Sheriff's Department says the water is fast and the body, which was wedged against a log, could have come from farther up the river.

Rogers says the body has not been identified and that the agency has received no missing persons reports.

The body was taken to the Ada County Coroner's Office for an autopsy.
