A man and two children were in critical condition Friday night following a two-vehicle accident in West Valley City.
West Valley police Lt. Dalan Taylor said a passenger car and tow-truck collided in the intersection of 3500 South and 4000 West at about 9 p.m. A 5-year-old boy and 9-year-old girl riding in the car with an adult woman, believed to be their mother, were both critically injured.
Taylor said the boy was ejected from the vehicle. Both children were transported by helicopter to Primary Children's Medical Center. The woman received only minor injuries.
The man driving the tow-truck was trapped inside his vehicle and was extracted by a West Valley Fire Department crew and transported to a hospital in critical condition.Taylor said investigators were still on the scene of the incident late Friday and had yet to determine who, if anyone, was at fault.
