OGDEN — A former LDS bishop charged with sexually abusing several young girls may have reached a plea deal with prosecutors.

During an appearance Wednesday in 2nd District Court, Timothy O'Sean McCleve's attorney indicated that he would change his plea. A hearing has been scheduled for Sept. 17, court records said.

McCleve, 53, is charged with three counts of aggravated sex abuse of a child, a first-degree felony and a charge of second-degree felony child sex abuse. Harrisville police said that until 2004, McCleve was bishop over a local LDS ward that some of the alleged victims attended. He would often visit them at home, police said, where it is alleged some of the abuse occurred.
