Today on TV
College football: There are two games of local interest: Utah at Michigan (1:30 p.m., Ch. 4) and Northern Iowa at BYU (4 p.m., The mtn.). But there are LOTS of other games on this last day of August, although there aren't a lot of great matchups on TV. Although, gee, you never know what will happen, do you? And ESPN has Appalachian State at LSU at 3 p.m. The best non-local games include USC at Virginia (1:30 p.m., ESPN2), Oklahoma State vs. Washington State in Seattle (1:30 p.m., FSN); TCU at New Mexico (4 p.m., Versus) ... hey, it counts in the MWC standing; Michigan State at Cal (6 p.m., Ch. 4) and Illinois at Missouri (6:30 p.m., ESPN) and Washington at Oregon (8 p.m., FCS).
For the Love of Grace (7 p.m., Hallmark): TV movie about the romance between a gruff firefighter (Mark Consuelos) and a reserved author (Chandra West).
Chuck (7 p.m., Ch. 5): Chuck learns how hard it is to balance his regular job and his secret spy job. (R)
48 Hours (9 p.m., Ch. 2): Michael Skakel seeks a new trial after his conviction in the 1975 murder of his neighbor.
Sunday on TV
College football: TKentucky at Louisville (1:30 p.m., ESPN); Colorado vs. Colorado State in Denver (5:30 p.m., FSN and FCS).
Masterpiece (8 p.m., Ch. 7): Inspector Lynley's investigation is complicated when the star witness is murdered.
Mad Men (8, 9 and 11 p.m., AMC): Peggy tries to break into the boys' club. And, if you've missed any of the first five episodes of this second season, they're repeated from 3-8 p.m.
