LAYTON — No charges have been filed as police continue to investigate a crash that killed a woman last week.

The crash happened Friday at about 10:45 a.m. when an eastbound Buick collided with a Nissan making a left turn at the intersection of 1930 West and Hill Field Road, said Layton Police Sgt. Mark Chatlin.

Nancy Porter, 72, of Layton, was taken to a nearby hospital where she later died, police said. Porter's husband, who was driving the Nissan, suffered minor injuries.

The driver and passenger of the Buick were treated at the scene and released.

No charges have been filed. Investigators are trying to determine if the light was red when the crash occurred. Police are also waiting for the results of a toxicology report.
