A Salt Lake couple have been charged with trying to attack two women with nunchuks and a hunting knife.

On Saturday, the couple were arguing with the two women near 400 North and 1300 West, according to charges filed Wednesday in 3rd District Court.

The man swung the nunchuks at one of the women and jabbed at her with a knife, according to the charges. The couple later tried to attack another woman's daughter, police said.

The couple face charges of aggravated assault, a third-degree felony, and intoxication, a class C misdemeanor.
