UPPERVILLE, Va. (AP) — Genuine Risk, one of only three fillies to win the Kentucky Derby, has died at Virginia's Newstead Farm.

The farm said the 1980 Derby winner died peacefully shortly after being turned out in her paddock Monday morning. Genuine Risk was 31 and was the oldest living Derby winner.

Genuine Risk became the first filly in 65 years to win the Derby and is the only filly to finish in the top three in all three legs of the Triple Crown, running second in both the Preakness and the Belmont Stakes.
