A rollover on I-15 in Washington County left two dead and another injured Saturday morning.

The sports car the group was driving was going northbound at excessive speeds, according to a news release from the Cedar City Police Department. At about 1:30 a.m. the car suddenly swerved off the roadway to the left. The car began to roll several times before it came to a rest further down the interstate.

Sheila Ann Tahy, 36, the driver of the vehicle, and Fermina Begay, 37, were both killed in the accident. Zena Tallman, 37, suffered injuries to his upper extremities that were not life-threatening. He was transferred to Dixie Regional Medical Center.

Alcohol is suspected as a contributing factor in the accident.
