At least three people suffered nonlife-threatening injuries during a drive-by shooting at a West Valley apartment complex early Wednesday morning.

About 3:15 a.m., a white car with one headlight burned out pulled next to a group of people standing outside an apartment near 4400 South and 3900 West, said West Valley Police Lt. Bill Merritt.

Following an exchange of words, two people from inside the car fired a shotgun and a .22-caliber handgun at the group. Merritt did not know Wednesday how many shots were fired.
