Brigham Young, second president of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, spent the last winters of his life in a St. George home, seen above in this photo prior to 1900. While there, President Young directed the building of the St. George Temple and Tabernacle. Today, the home is open for tours from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the winter and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. (time extends to 7 p.m. as weather improves) in the summer. Call the St. George Temple Visitors Center at 1-435-673-5181 for more information.
