OREM A multimedia end-of-summer concert reliving experiences and music from the 2008 Especially for Youth program will be held Aug. 22 and 23 at 7:30 p.m. at the Utah Valley University McKay Events Center.
The concert will feature a live seven-piece band, as well as nearly a dozen artists, including Jessie Clark Funk, Dan Beck, and Ryan Shupe and the Rubberband.
Tickets for the nondenominational event are $9 per person or $40 for a family of six. They are available at smithstix.com or the UVU ticket office. Ticket information is also available by calling 888-782-5113. Parking is included in the price of the ticket.
FiddleSticks plays tonight, Friday
The FiddleSticks family Celtic band will perform at free concerts tonight in Provo and Friday in Spanish Fork. FiddleSticks performs folk songs and traditional tunes from the Celtic lands, from England and from America. The band is made up of three sisters, Rebecca, Kathryn and Elizabeth Davis, and their father, Mark. Featured instruments include fiddle, flutes, cello, bodhran (Irish drum), guitar and vocals, with occasional hammer dulcimer, fretless bass, drum kit and various other percussion.
Tonight's concert at 7 will be at the Tahitian Noni International Center's Paradise stage, 333 W. River Park Drive in Provo. Friday's concert will be at 5 p.m. at the Utah County Fair, 475 S. Main in Spanish Fork.
The group has released eight recordings and received a 2003 Pearl Award for best contemporary instrumental recording.
Dutch, Italian genealogy classes
The Family History Library will offer free classes on Dutch and Italian research.
The Dutch sessions, to be held Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., will include topics on Internet research, gazetteers and maps, civil registration records, and church records.
On Aug. 23, Italian classes from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. are "Finding the Place of Origin," "Basic Research," "Marriage Records," "Reading Church and Civil Records" and "Italian Research on the Internet."

Addiction recovery conference
OREM Heart t' Heart, a 12-step program for addiction recovery in the LDS community, will hold its 17th annual conference Friday and Saturday at Utah Valley University.
