RICHFIELD — The deputy director of the White House's Office of National Drug Control Policy and the Sevier County Attorney are among the nominees to be a judge in the 6th District Court.

The Utah State Courts announced nominations for the vacancy of retiring Judge David Mower. They include former Iron County Attorney and White House liaison Scott Burns; Sevier County prosecutor Dale P. Eyre; Richfield attorney Marvin Bagley; and St. George attorney David L. Elmont.

A 10-day public comment period will be held before the names are submitted to the governor to decide. Comments are due Aug. 22 to the Administrative Office of the Courts, P.O. Box 140241, Salt Lake City, UT 84114.
