DRAPER — Firefighters rescued a puppy that fell down an air vent and became stuck Sunday morning.

Around 9 a.m., the dog fell into the upstairs vent of a home, near 400 West and Bricker Drive (13200 South), and got stuck around an elbow and out of its owner's reach, the Unified Fire Authority said.

Firefighters snaked a camera into the vent and attempted to snare the dog with rescue equipment, but were unsuccessful. Eventually, a hole was cut in the duct and the dog was rescued.

It was not injured, firefighters said.
