HOLLADAY — A man was in critical condition after police say he was stabbed multiple times by the woman he lives with early Wednesday morning.

Deputies were called at 8 a.m. to the Chateau Foret apartments, near 4800 South and 1800 East, on a report of a domestic-related fight and stabbing. When they arrived they found 35-year-old Pete Holden with multiple stab wounds to the chest and back, said Salt Lake County Sheriff's Lt. Paul Jaroscak.

Tiffany F. Blair, 29, was booked into the Salt Lake County Jail for investigation of attempted homicide and two counts of domestic assault in the presence of a child, Jaroscak said.

During questioning, investigators learned Holden had actually suffered his injuries 90 minutes to two hours prior to calling 911, Jaroscak said.

At first the man said he was walking back to his apartment from a local convenience store and was attacked and stabbed, Jaroscak said. But after examining the evidence and questioning the people involved, detectives felt that story wasn't true, he said.
