A keynote speaker at a Young Single Adult conference in Salt Lake City this weekend said the most profound decisions in life aren't founded on intellect or reason, which are significant statements coming from a Stanford Medical School graduate and professor of radiology at the University of Utah's School of Medicine.

Anne Osborne Poelman addressed several hundred single adults Saturday morning and encouraged them to "use the prospective tool of revelation" when making important decisions.

Referencing stories from her life, namely her conversion to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and her decision to marry her husband, Poelman said, "I know as I look backwards that those most important decisions were made using the unbelievably powerful tool of personal revelation."
