SOUTH JORDAN — A toddler was killed when he was hit by a car Thursday evening.

The 3-year-old boy was struck by a car near 9650 S. Shettleston Circle (4120 West) just before 6:30 p.m., said South Jordan Fire spokesman Nate Morreale.

The child was taken to Jordan Valley Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police were still on scene Wednesday night piecing together the details of the accident, Morreale said.
