OGDEN (AP) — A former financial officer who skimmed a company bank account by cutting himself extra monthly paychecks will spend up to 30 years in prison for the embezzlement scheme.

A 2nd District judge ordered the sentence for Charles Craig Tabaracci on Wednesday. In a deal with prosecutors, Tabaracci pleaded guilty to three counts each of theft and communications fraud and one count of money laundering in July.

Prosecutors say the 54-year-old Tabaracci was stealing from Harrisville brickmaker, Interpace Industries, for about 10 of the 26 years he was employed.

A hearing to finalize the restitution figure Tabaracci must pay is set for Sept. 24.
