MAGNA — An electrical fire caused about $50,000 in damage to a home Sunday afternoon.

Wiring to a swamp cooler on the roof of a home near 3300 South and 7895 West sparked a two-alarm fire around 5:15 p.m., said Unified Fire Authority spokesman Jay Fearnley.

Firefighters kept the flames from damaging any rooms inside the home, but the family will be displaced for at least a day because of damage to the roof, Fearnley said.

No one was injured.
