Those auditioning need to bring a non-memorized piece from any British drawing room drama or comedy from the early 20th century. Or, they may also read one minute from a favorite Agatha Christie novel. The role of Paravicni has been cast. In addition to the characters, directors also need a narrator/radio announcer.
This is a staged reading of the Christie classic. There will be four or five evening rehearsals and one performance on Aug. 29. Jacob Bruner directs. Call 953-3250 with questions.
"The Music Man," Center Musical Theatre, Wednesday and Thursday, 7-9 p.m., at the theater, 177 W. Center, Provo.
Auditioners should come prepared with 32 measures of a musical-theater piece and be prepared to dance. An accompanist and CD player will be provided.
The show runs Oct. 17- Nov. 15. It will be directed by Gavin Grooms and choreographed by Bethany Taylor.
"Imagine Yourself ... A Broadway Youth Revue," Draper Arts Council, Saturday, 9 a.m.-noon, at the Summit Academy, 1295 E. 13200 South.
This revue will feature songs from Broadway musicals such as "Annie" and "Footloose," among others. Auditioners should be ages 8-18 and be prepared to sing 16 bars of this type of music and wear clothes to dance in. An accompanist and CD player will be provided.

"The Light in the Piazza," Pioneer Theatre Company's Utah premiere, Aug. 12, noon-5 p.m., at the Simmons Pioneer Memorial Theatre, Room 245.
Equity-only auditions will be held from noon-1 p.m., though Equity members may sign up for any time slot. Non-equity auditions are from 1-5 p.m. All auditioners must sign up for a time on the board inside the PTC business office, Room 325 on the main floor of the theater. The sign-up sheet will be posted by Tuesday at noon.
All roles are open. Auditioners should prepare a Broadway show tune from the show or in a similar style. Scripts will be available to check out overnight at the PTC business office. Photo and resume are recommended.The shows runs Dec. 5-20. Jack Going directs, Jayne Luke choreographs and Michael Rice is the music director.
