CEDAR HILLS — For the sixth year in a row, the Government Finance Officers Association recently awarded the city with the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award for fiscal year 2007.

The GFOA established this award in 1984 to encourage and assist state and local governments to prepare high-quality budget documents. The award is set up to recognize governments that achieved the goals established by the National Advisory Council on state and local budgeting as well as the GFOA's recommended practices on budgeting.
