In reply to Joey Richards' comment that the abortion law goes too far (Readers' Forum, July 24) referring to the South Dakota law where doctors must inform women seeking abortions that the procedure will end a human life and the fact it is a burden on women and men in difficult situations, no-brainer there. Of course, it's a difficult situation. It's an immoral and unethical procedure, to put it nicely. But did the "women and men" think of that before they got pregnant? Abortion comes down to self-serving motives. There are alternatives: adoption.
