Deborah Barnes

ROY — An endangered-person alert has been issued for a woman who disappeared on Saturday.

Police said Deborah Barnes, 48, disappeared from the Weber County Library near 1700 West and 4800 South. Described by authorities as mentally handicapped with the mental capacity of an 11-year-old, she is a diabetic who has not taken her medication with her.

Police said Barnes is known to frequent homeless shelters in Ogden and Salt Lake City.

Barnes is described as white, about 5-foot-3, weighing 243 pounds. She has short blond hair, blue eyes and wears glasses. She was last seen wearing a flowered top and tan pants.
