WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (AP) — Authorities in Florida are investigating why the child of a bride-to-be was left to die in a hot car on his mother's wedding day.

The Palm Beach County Medical Examiner said Monday the 4-year-old boy's body temperature reached 108 degrees in the car. Gregory Cesar was pronounced dead at a hospital Saturday.

Officials say the boy may have been in the car for more than two hours. Temperatures outside the car had reached 90 degrees.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office says the boy's mother may not have known the boy was in the car when she went to get her nails done. The 29-year-old mother was supposed to get married Saturday.
