It seems lately that patriotism in Utah has taken on some parenthetical undertones. For instance:

God bless America (as long as it's not with any of my money).

Support the troops (Utah has comparatively low recruitment numbers).

Justice for all (except to those who don't subscribe to my particular religious sentiments).

Fly the flag (on your car, your shirt and your lapel. Otherwise, you must hate freedom).

All men are created equal (except the homosexuals and those who can't afford the brand of equality I have).

This land is your land (as long as I can drill for oil on it).

This land is my land (so I can have as many guns as I want).

This land was made for you and me.
