OGDEN — Firefighters are investigating a blaze at a vacant home on 20th Street.

The Ogden Fire Department said the fire was reported around 10:30 a.m. Friday at a home near 200 West and 20th Street. Upon arrival, firefighters saw the roof on fire. Someone was inside the home on the first floor.

"This person fled the scene," Ogden Fire Chief Mike Mathieu said Friday.

Crews were able to put out the fire within a half-hour. The home was slated for demolition, Mathieu said. The exact cause of the fire is under investigation, but authorities believe it was human-caused.
