Thank you, environmentalists, for stifling our nuclear energy development for the past four decades. Unfortunately, this has necessitated the burning of billions of tons of coal to meet our electrical energy needs. And thanks for blocking the drilling for oil on the continental shelves and the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. Thanks for convincing the mush heads in Washington that it is a good idea to make our corn into alcohol. This has caused a rise in food prices worldwide and caused many to go hungry. And who was the birdbrain who convinced the congressional clowns we could fuel our trucks, trains and planes with oil from sunflower seeds?
