EMERY, Emery County — A Denver man was killed when the vehicle he was driving rolled on Interstate-70.

The Utah Highway Patrol said the crash happened about 8 p.m. Sunday when a 1997 Chevy Tahoe headed eastbound had a tire blow.

"It had some tread separation which caused the vehicle to lose control and it rolled multiple times," UHP spokesman Jeff Nigbur said.

Troopers said Juan M. Hernandez, 33, died in the crash. Four others in the SUV were taken to local hospitals with injuries ranging from minor to serious. One woman was flown by medical helicopter to a Provo hospital.
