FOOTBALL: University of Utah football season tickets have topped 26,000 for the first time in school history, marking the fourth straight year the Utes have set a new record in season sales. The Utah ticket office confirmed that season sales have gone over 26,750 well ahead of the old mark of 25,151 set last year.
Even with the record-setting sales, season tickets remain in all areas of Rice-Eccles Stadium. Tickets may be ordered online at utahutes.com, by calling 801-581-UTIX or at the Rice-Eccles Stadium Box office. Utah's 2008 home schedule features Oregon State, BYU and TCU, as well as UNLV, Colorado State and Weber State. Season tickets start at $85.
Utah has set a new season-ticket record every year since Kyle Whittingham became the head coach in 2005, and season sales have increased by over 7,000 tickets during that time.
