ATHENS, Greece (AP) — Greek 400-meter runner Dimitris Regas faces a possible two-year suspension after testing positive for a banned steroid. Greece's athletics association said Friday that both samples taken from Regas during a June 13 competition test came back positive for methyltrienolone.

The 22-year-old Regas had not qualified for the Greek Olympic team for next month's Beijing Games.

The association said it has launched a disciplinary process against Regas in cooperation with the IAAF.
