The excellent editorial "End knee-jerk condemnation" (July 11) is only slightly marred by the statement that Johnnie Cochran coined the phrase: "rush to judgment" during the 1995 O.J. Simpson trial. That phrase was then in common use from Mark Lane's 1992 book titled "Rush to Judgment," blasting the Warren Commission's hasty conclusions in its review of the JFK assassination, possibly the most prominent knee-jerk of our time.
