With the summer season in full swing, it's really a wonderful time of year to get the kids out to see a show, too. This week's openings are all fun for the whole family.

Stampeding elephants, raging typhoons, runaway trains and lots of slapstick this is the original amazing race. Phileas Fogg has agreed to an outrageous wager: circle the globe in an unheard of 80 days. Packed with danger, romance and comic surprises, "80 Days" has five actors portraying 39 different characters.

Developed in partnership with Plan-B Theatre Company, this original work by Eric Samuelsen is about seven young people who find themselves desperately lost in an unexpected fog in the Utah mountains. This horror story is sure to keep your family on the edge of their seats.

"The Man With the Pointed Toes," Tuesday through Saturday, Hale Theater, Grover.
Hale Theater, which has very popular venues in West Valley City and Orem, also has a theater in Grover, Wayne County. Nestled between Capitol Reef National Park and Boulder Mountain, Hale in Grover has offered families great entertainment for the past 38 years.

Based on the Grimm Brothers' fairy tale, this musical comedy is about 12 sisters who love to dance and has 12 times more romance than any other fairy tale.
