Tonight, crews will move the 700 East overpass into position, which will create some closures on I-80 for short spell.

The Utah Department of Transportation is planning to close 1300 East above the interstate at 10:30 p.m. and until the bridge is adjacent to its launch site at 700 East. Adan Carrillo, public information officer for UDOT, said the move should take about two hours.

Traffic will close on both east- and west-bound traffic for 15 to 30 minutes while the bridge is rotated into position. Once the bridge has been rotated one westbound lane and two eastbound lanes will reopen.

Officials hope the 700 East structure can be set into its final location by Sunday evening.
