FLDS Church leader Warren Jeffs has been moved from Arizona to a Las Vegas hospital after authorities "noticed his deteriorating health," the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported Tuesday.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department had Jeffs under armed guard at Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, according to the newspaper. His condition was unknown.
A hospital spokeswoman told the Deseret News Tuesday night that she could not confirm Jeffs' condition or if he was even at the hospital. She said she had been in contact with law enforcement in Mohave County, Ariz., where Jeffs was being held on charges of performing a pair of underage marriages.
The Mohave County Sheriff's Office was expected to release more information on Jeffs and his condition this morning.
Attempts to reach the sheriff's office and Las Vegas police were unsuccessful Tuesday night.
