WEST JORDAN — Folks looking for fun in West Jordan this weekend won't have to go far to find the city's annual Western Stampede Celebration in full swing.

The city will host a parade at 10:30 a.m. today along Redwood Road, from 7000 South to 8000 South. Craft booths, food, games and arts and crafts will be available at the Veteran's Memorial Park at 11 a.m.

Doors open for the rodeo at 7 p.m. at the West Jordan Arena, 8135 S. 2200 West, for pre-rodeo entertainment. The rodeo starts at 8 p.m.

A free showing of "Surf's Up" and fireworks will take place at Veteran's Memorial Park, 1985 W. 7800 South, beginning at 8:40 p.m.

The rodeo and games in Veteran's Memorial Park will continue until Saturday. A free screening of "Secondhand Lions" and fireworks will be shown at 8:40 p.m. in the park.
