LAS VEGAS — The Salt Lake Bees scored three runs in the ninth to snap a 6-6 tie and defeat the Las Vegas 51s 9-6 on Thursday night.

Matt Brown opened the ninth with a single, but was still at first base with two out when Bobby Wilson grounded a double just inside the right-field line to bring home Brown.

Adam Pavkovich then provided the icing on the cake with a two-run homer. The Bees had led 6-0 going into the bottom of the sixth, as Nick Adenhart had allowed only one hit through the first five innings, but Las Vegas tied the game with a half-dozen runs, with the final two coming on a two-run homer by A.J. Ellis.

Jeff Kennard (4-1) tossed a scoreless eighth inning to earn the win and Jason Bulger recorded his 10th save with a scoreless ninth.

Matt Brown led the Bees with three hits and an RBI, while Sean Rodriguez added two hits, including a home run, and two RBIs.
